Write about a few of your family traditions!

My wife and I feel that the traditional Thanksgiving dinner is overrated. So, we have changed from cooking the traditional meal to having a wonderful seafood dinner for us! We would cook crab legs, shrimp, mash potatoes, garlic bread, and carrots! Then we will end the meal with is amazing homemade peanut butter cup my wife makes!

For Christmas, we always watch Frosty the Snowman and the Charlie Brown Christmas special while we open up gifts!

What a lovely and refreshing way to make traditions your own. There’s something wonderful about choosing joy over obligation, and your seafood Thanksgiving sounds both indulgent and intimate—crab legs, shrimp, and that homemade peanut butter cup feel like a celebration crafted with care and love, not just habit.

I also love how you balance that with the timeless comfort of Christmas traditions. Watching Frosty the Snowman and A Charlie Brown Christmas while opening gifts is such a warm, nostalgic ritual—simple, familiar, and full of heart.

Your traditions reflect what matters most: togetherness, intention, and creating memories that genuinely feel like yours. That’s the real spirit of the holidays.

Your seafood-laden Thanksgiving spread instead of turkey sounds absolutely sumptuous.

Truly a table full of gratitude for the hands that prepared the feast. Stay blessed 🙌😇
