What’s something most people don’t understand?

Education is more important after you’re out of school than when you’re in it. You have an entire adult life to learn more about the world around you. You can also keep your old knowledge updated and current.

If you treat your last day of school as the end of your education, you will feel empty. Your life will be filled with confusion and anger.

You are never to old to learn something new! You are never to old to relearn something! There will always be more than one way to solve a problem. You need to find the best way for yourself!

  2. vermavkv – India – I am Vijay Kumar Verma, residing in Kolkata, the city of joy. I was a Banker since December 1985 and retired in April 2017 from State Bank of India. After serving the Bank for 32 years as an officer holding different assignments from time to time, now I am currently enjoying the retired life. I would like to fulfil the duty of social service through this platform spreading aware about the health related problems and their remedies. I will also try to entertain my followers through knowledgeable information and motivate them to enjoy better and quality lifestyle.     I agree! Formal education gives us a “basic understanding” of things and maybe a “path” to pursue but it’s not until we are “doing” something that we really learn about the more specific things in our lives! Thanks!

This blog is my digital porch, a place for unpolished commentary on book reviews, daily gripes, and the random thoughts of a guy who finally has the time to pay attention. I’m an observant realist with a deep appreciation for history, a good quote, and the perspective that only comes after the career ends. I love spending time with my wife the best times are just doing nothing; watching tv, talking or just sitting at the beach together for a few hours. Our spot is pier 60 in Clearwater. I love the time I have with my kids when I can, they are all pretty busy. Seinfeld is about the best comedy ever. You will see me frequently comment on the show and why my blog is about nothing.

    Very true. College is a cocoon and gives you things to consider and think about. It set the foundation but it is the real world and applying those things along with experiences, the school of hard knocks is where the learning happens.
