Have I ever been camping?

The closet I’ve ever gotten to camping was 6th grade camp! The school took us away for a week and we stayed inside these barracks style places and we would hike up mountains and rock formation! At night, we would sit around the camp grounds and tell scary stories!

I would like to take my family camping in the near future because it just seems like it would be fun to spend time with my family out in the outdoors!

This is such a warm, vivid memory—it almost feels like a snapshot you can step into. The way you describe those barracks, the hikes, and especially the nights around the campfire brings out that simple, childhood magic we rarely slow down to notice anymore.
I love how it shifts from nostalgia into intention—wanting to give your family that same experience.

Well you can’t spend time out in the indoors 😉 if you do go to some place planned with facilities do not try to go the grizzly Adam’s route the first time.
